Some Handy Hints
When using acrylic paint
Wash out brushes and rollers in a bucket filled with water. Let the water evaporate snd then discard the remaining solids with your normal waste. Do not flush the water down a drain.
Covering Water Stains
To seal water stains before painting, use either a metho or oil based sealer undercoat. Apply via brush or spray
Cover Up
Put down drop cloths. For furniture, use lightweight plastic; on floors, butyl-backed drop cloths are best. Paint has a way of finding its way to uncovered surfaces, no matter how careful you think you're being. It's better to be safe than sorry!
How much paint will you need?
Measure the square meters of the area to be painted, the formula is width x length = sqm. A wall 2 meters high x 4 meters wide = 8 square meters. Each manufacture lists the coverage of their paint per litre on the side of the can.
